This picture shows Jesus Christ and a small lamb. If we compare the small lamb with us, Jesus is watching over us. When I see any picture where is Jesus Christ I can feel a big feeling of love and gratitude for him.

I am so grateful for him, because he gave me, and he is giving me many bless. He gave me the life and the opportunity to be in this earth, and the opportunity to be tested and come back to him and to my God. I am really grateful, because he gave me a very wonderful family. I have wonderful parents and brothers too. I love so much my family, they are all my life and I am so blessed to have this family with me.

I am so grateful to him, because he gave the opportunity to know his gospel. I love very much Jesus Christ, because he is my redemer and because he gave me the opportunity to know that he loves me and that he is watching for me all the time. Jesus Christ is the principal and the most important example for me. I love him and I love his gospel, because with his gospel I can know more what he wants for me and what kind of blessings I can have if I am obedient.

I am grateful to him, because he gives me the opportunity to stay with my family all the eternity. Really I don’t know how to say thanks to him for all many blessings that he game and is giving me right now. I hope that one day I could stay with my Eternity Father, with Jesus Christ, and with my wonderful family.

The story is developing in the middle of the night. It is raining, the men on the boat are very scared. Suddenly, one men fell out of the old boat and faded in the water. The water is very cold the man is shouting, because he is feeling pain in his body and not too far from him and approaches him. ‚One young man is trying to kill a shark and another two men are trying to reach the shaking hand of the man, that is in the water, while many big ships are closing in on the boat,they are still far away.

They use the small boat to save the man, so they just save the men's life. I don't know why have this picture, but I think it's not a true story. Why is the nude man in the sea? I think he make some mistake.

One thing happens in the sea. There are a lot of ships at harbor. The people are on a ship. They are very scared, because there are two sharks in the sea. One person takes a rope, and he wants to save the naked man in the water. One person reaches their hands hope can help him,but they can't. There is a shark near the naked man, so he is very afraid, because the huge shark wants to eat him. All of people rescue the man in the sea. The man in the sea is in danger, also he can't live anymore, because the shark opened it's big mouth to eat the naked man. This picture make me very scared. I know what the man feel when the shark by him side!! Wow! Too terrible...isn't it?

I like when I close my eyes and play with my imagination. A lot of things are in my mind, and I find more when another person guides me, for example in this experience (the teacher guided us). These things are in order. I created original places with special people. In this case, I imagined one special world, a little world, the same as in The Little Prince, with a little child, too. This world has blue things. There are a lot of stars in the sky, and the music is like a piano.

I always do this with my patients, pregnant women, because this technique is favorable for their relaxation, and they can breathe better. This is comfortable for their minds and general circulation. Also, it helps the babies, of course.

The Little Prince said, "The essential is invisible to the eyes." His words are true. With imagination and feeling, everybody could be better.

The story of the book Sarah, Plain and Tall shows how important and valuable the family is. Also it portray the image of the happiness and how families could be happy together. Sarah, Plain and Tall is an interesting story. I read the book quickly because I enjoyed it a lot.

The story is about a family lives on a farm. Anna, Caleb and Mr. Jacob Witting living together. Their mother died day after Caleb was born. That was pretty common in the old time when mother would die from luck of medical support and the conditions that she would have to deliver a baby. Anna was six years old when her mother died. After that she felt that days seemed longer and darker like winter days, even though it was not a winter. Their dad wasn't happy ether. He stopped singing and was always sad. Their house on a prairie becomes quiet.

One day Mr. Witting put an advertisement in the newspaper. He was running the wife wanted ad. Very soon he received a letter from a woman named Sarah Elisabeth Wheaton. She was from Maine. Everybody become very exited about her coming. Mr. Witting wrote her back and very shortly after that Sarah decides to come and visit their family for a month. She came a few months later. Everybody felt in love with this simple and humble woman. She was willing to work hard and help in the family. Kids loved her. When Sara was ready to leave kids want her to stay. Jacob also didn't want her to leave. The story ended with marriage Sarah and Jacob

As I read the story, I felt sad about two kids living without their mother. I understand why they were so exited for Sara to come. Caleb would ask all the time: "Do you think she will come?" "Will she stay?" "Will she like us?" "What if she thinks we are loud and pesky?"

I liked the character of Caleb very much. He is so pure and loving. His main concerned was: "Can she sing?". Singing in his imagination was an attribute of his true mother.

Sarah did sing and more than that she was very loving woman. She was very nice to every member of the family. The part, which shows how Sara reacts on death of one of the lambs, shows how kind and big-hearted she was.

I was really happy to see the happy end. This is one of those stories that leaves very nice and happy feelings after you close a last page. It is always feels nice when somebody find her happiness.

Stress is a physical, mental or emotional strain or tension. Tension is mental or emotional strain, suspense, anxiety or excitement. Anxiety is a reaction to a real or imagined threat, a general feeling of uneasiness or dread.

Ander Mueller, a psychology student at BYU came to ELC and talked to ELC students that stress is not a disease, It’s a normal part of everyone’s life and it’s good, but we need to have control of stress. We need to learn how to regulate our tension . I decided to learn how regulate our tension. I decided to read more about it and do this research.

Ander Mueller said that stress helps us to be more productive. I agree with some things that he said. When I am stressed out I have more energy to do many things but I believe that everybody doesn’t have the same reaction.

For me stress is not necessarily good or bad; however, reactions to stress can be very considerably, and some of these reactions. If the reactions are considerably we relieve: sleeping, crying, laughing, Exercising, Reflecting and many others but If the reaction are undesirable like anxiety, find someone who will listen to you and counsel with you about your problems. Very often supportive family or nursing can help relieve anxiety. Learn techniques including biofeedback and relaxation therapy, to reduce muscle tension. Biofeedback is a process of monitoring body functions and altering these functions through relaxation.

I loved the Andy Mueller’s workshop and I learned by him that “Man must take time to mediate to sweep the cobwebs from his mind”.

I read a book named I Have a Dream and I loved, this book talk about Martin Luther King's life, show us how the people fight about your dreams without violence but with love, this is a very helpful book.

I loved read this book mainly because what the people thought, never stop to fight about their dreams and to became stronger when you are together and with a leader. This leader was Martin he was a very smart man who wanted help his people to have a better life because they are black and a lot of people didn't like them, they didn't have good jobs, they couldn't do anything.

In my mind what Martin did was wonderful, he could do the black people think about their life, don't stay in the same way with bad jobs without a good education, he could show to his people that they needed to fight about good jobs and others kinds of life.

In conclusion I agree with Martin's action, the people can be stronger when they fight together, It is a good way to win our dreams and to want the best things for his people, he was a smart man that stopped living his own life to help his people.

There are many pictures in Mrs. Buck's book box. The first one I saw was a picture of some butterflies. I saw in the picture two butterflies, one yellow and one blue. They chased each other above the water. From this picture, I felt I could smell the spring and I could see mountains; I felt I could see my hometown and another province, Yunlan or butterflies' hometown and I also remember a famous ancient story called "Butterfly Lovers."

As I gazed at the picture of the butterflies, I felt I returned back to my childhood. In the spring my hometown had a lot of butterflies; they worked on the flowers and made plants have good seeds. They chased each other and they played together. They were so pretty and lovely. I always chased the butterflies, and I wanted to catch one to make a butterfly sample. Sometimes I climbed the mountain with friends to pick up some wild flowers; we also saw many butterflies. Butterflies like to be near water, and they like to come out on sunny days, so when I see many butterflies, I feel warm and peaceful. Butterflies make love life and me happy.

In 1989, I went to Yunlan province, which is known as the butterfly's hometown. This province has just one season the whole year-spring. There are a hundred kinds of butterflies. There is a stream; its name is Butterfly Stream. The reason it has this name is because many many butterflies live by the stream and a lot of beautiful flowers bloom there. Many beautiful love stories happened at Butterfly Stream. If you go to China and go to the butterfly's hometown, you will know how beautiful and how lovely the butterflies are.

China has a famous story "Butterfly Love." It talks about ancient China. Girls were not allowed to go school and marriage were by parental arrangement. Yingtai was a girl who disguised herself as a boy to go school. In that school, she met and fell in love with Shanbo. After three years of school, when they went home, Yingtai told him she was a girl, so they fell in love. Shanbo's family was poor; Yingtai's father wanted Yingtai to marry another rich boy. Shanbo died of a broken heart. When Yingtai knew of his death, Yingtai went to his tomb and cried with a broken heart. The tomb suddenly opened and she jumped into the tomb. They transformed into two butterflies and flew out of the tomb. They were happily together forever. From this story we know the ancient people loved butterflies, too.

I gazed at the picture of the butterflies for a long time, because for a few years, I haven't seen any butterflies. I thought to myself, "The gardeners use poison that kills you. In this climate you can't live. I feel so sad for you. From spring to the fall I want to find you, but I can't. Did you know that, if you are not on the flowers, they seem to lose life. Butterfly, l miss you."

I read the book I Have a Dream: The Story of Martin Luther King. This is a true story. It tells us about segregation among the black people and white people before the 1968. Martin Luther King led black people and broken segregation. In the book, six-year-old Martin asked his mother, "Why don't my best friends play with me anymore?" "We are Negroes. We live with prejudice; itís segregation," his mother answered. "Do you think America still has segregation?" my reading teacher asked everyone. Yes, I think segregation is everywhere, in every country, and even in my school.

When I read I Have a Dream I had a very strong feeling about Chinese students' (Taiwanese and Main land Chinese) segregation in my school. When you hear this, you may be surprised. I know you will be; I'm surprised, too. We are all Chinese; we had the same forefathers; why do we have segregation? The civil war separated us. In China, the schools taught us that Taiwan is a part of China. Taiwanese people are our brothers and sisters; we have to be together someday. In Taiwan, the schools taught students that China is very poor. We have to be independent. Therefore, the Taiwanese donít like Main land Chinese.

My first semester in the ELC, I was the only main China Chinese student in the school. I wanted to make new friends in school, but my English was very poor. I liked to sit with Taiwanese students in the lunchroom, so that I could speak with them in Chinese. Some Taiwanese students were very nice to me, but some of them were very unhappy with me. Sometimes they suddenly said to me with angry voices, "We aren't Chinese. Taiwan is a colony. We don't want to be together with China." Sometimes they said, "You look beautiful; China doesn't have a girl more beautiful than you." I asked them, "Have you ever been to China?" They said, "No, I don't want to go to China." "So, you don't know China. China has a lot of girls more beautiful than me. If you have time to go to China, you will change your mind," I said, I feel very strange.

One day, I met a Taiwanese girl on the road; I know she doesn't like me. She has never talked to me before. When we stood together waiting for the traffic light, she said to me, "Tell your husband to give you money; you can go back to New York." I understood that she meant, "You are a poor Chinese." She hurt my feelings very much. I wanted to return fire to her, but I stopped. I just said, "At the end of the semester I will go back to New York." I know hurting others will be hurt myself. God said, "Love your enemy." Besides, she isn't my enemy. God will help her. However, I don't want to sit with the Taiwanese in the lunchroom anymore. I don't want to hurt them, and I don't want them to hurt me.

At the beginning of this semester, I met my study buddy in the ELC. My study buddy, who taught English in China for one year, loves China very much. When she found out I am from China, she was very happy. She told me why she is studying Chinese--because she wants to go back to China for a while with her husband. One male student who is from Taiwan heard her talk, and said, "Don't go to China. China is very poor and dangerous." "Have you ever been to China?" My study buddy said. He said, "No." My study buddy said, "You don't know China." "Yes, if you go to China you will know it," I said. I feel very unhappy with his talk, and I wish someday he would change his mind about China.

From these conversations you can see the segregation among the main land Chinese students and the Taiwanese Chinese students. People, people why do we hate each other so awfully? People, people why do we fight each other? From I Have a Dream I understood that this is prejudice, and this is segregation. Martin Luther King said,

That all men are created equal."

This is Martin Luther King's dream. I want to say, I have a dream that one day Taiwanese people and main land Chinese people will sit together and say, "We are of the same forefathers. We are brothers and sisters." I know that one day China will be prosperous and strong. Taiwan will come back to China. The whole world will come together. We are all God's children.

I love this picture. When I see that I feel very comfortable. I think that reasons are I like the green color, my mother, that place and my memories of last summer.

The person in that picture, is my mother. I donít know why her eyes are closed! She close her eyes sometime, but she doesnít care. My mother is a very good mother to me. She thinks deep and much time everything. She always understands me. She is very fun. She likes reading books, classical music, watching movies, and her family. I think that she is my friend and a great adviser to me.

The house is my family's country house in Muju; Muju is in the country, but my house is further in the country. I canít watch TV and it is difficult to make phone calls sometime electricily are down. The worst thing is I canít use the bathroom because it is too old. I donít use it, so I drive 30 minutes to get to another bathroom. Nevertheless, I love that place. My house is very old. Only old people live there. I can see trees and grass everywhere. In the summer, everything is green. In fall, all is red, and winter is great because all the world is white.

This picture was taken last summer. It reminds me of my last summer. That time was important to me. I had lots of problems. However sometimes I was happy. I had problems about my friends, my future, my school and about me, so I went to that place. When I went there I thought and thought about me. In the end I decided to go to a new place (America). Now I think that was the best choice.

Now, I miss my family and friends, so I like this picture. When I see this picture, I can imagine everything. This vacation, Iíll go back to Korea, so Iím doing to the Muju. At that time, I can see the white mountains.

I see outside. Cars are running somewhere. In the same way, people are seeking for something. we are always activating. I wonder why we are always activating. Sometimes, I think we need to reflect something. Even though we have many things to do. I think it is important thing in the future. It is easy to fail to notice in the past things. However, when the past things are based on. The future thing will be gorgeous. Sometimes, let’s stop everything and reflect the past things.

I made a clay car. I’m interested in buying a car. I always see others’ cars on the street these days. When my wife and I lived in Seoul, we didn’t need a car. However, we need a car in Provo these days.

This place, Provo, is different than Korean cities. In Provo, because there is not much public transportation, we always have to walk to go to the market, the Student Office, and the ELC. In addition, because Provo’s sunlight is strong at midday and there is not shade for us to avoid the strong light, we are exhausted walking.

Thus, my wife and I discussed getting a car yesterday and decided to buy a used car. If we have a car, we will be happy. Yesterday, we saw in the paper an ad that a person wrote to sell his car. We hope that we will be able to buy it.

The two man on the rowboat raise their hands, and the naked man is trying to reach. A man on the rowboat throws a rope into the sea trying to rescue the naked man. The shark's teeth look horrible, and it wants to eat the naked man that is in the sea. The naked man looks like he is wanting to€scream. All those men on the rowboat want to rescue€the naked man, but is looks really dangerous and difficult.

This is my first time seen this painting. I have never seen it before, so I think it's a very strange painting. I don't understand why that naked man in the sea with no clothes! I don't know why he does that! It's strange for me so I don't like this painting.

One day, Mrs. Buck showed us one of the photos from the Internet. This Canadian bridge is called Capilano Suspension Bridge. It looks very high, and a lot of people were crossing the bridge. I think that they are tourists. They froze up. I agree with them! It is a very scary situation.

When I see this kind of photo or situation, I always think about if people want to die, they should try to bungee jump first! I think this bridge is good for bungee jumping. Maybe, this kind of people can stop having a desire to die, because they would feel fun or scary for jump. I also want to jump from high buildings sometimes when I have hard trials. If I could bungee jump, I would have the courage for my life. After I did it, I can try any trial. The bungee jump and baptism looks the same, because baptism is a symbol of death. Both things need a big decision.

I have never tried to bungee jump, but I really want to try to do it. I think it is more fun than a roller coaster. I love roller coasters so much! It makes me happy, and I can forget everything. Sometimes we need those things. Excitement will help us to take things easy in our life.

You already know that I was a dental hygienist in Japan. We always used bridge treatment of tooth. When people lost a tooth, the bridge connects one tooth and another tooth. It is a neat work, but I don't want to do it, because a bridge gives too much force to support teeth. It is not good for a long time.

How about bridges in human relations? I think that a bridge is a friend for me. They are very important for me. If I didn't have any friends, it would be a big sadness! When I have bridged a friend's heart, we will be good friends.

Even though it is just a photo of bridge, it tell me a lot of important meanings!

Sometimes the life is like a dream. Sometimes a dream may be realer than the real life. People dream every night, even though they don’t remember their own dreams they can still know that something last night was inside their minds. Big and awful animals, amazing castles, powerful knights, strange kingdoms or magic adventures. Once I knew a child that couldn’t dream. He told me once that his biggest desire would be go to bed one night and to have the opportunity to enjoy dreaming. I told him that I could do nothing to help him. I never met with this boy again even when I was looking for him. One thing that was very strange for me about this little boy was that while I was talking with him I could see great suffering in his eyes. Maybe it was just a dream, maybe it was a true experience. The only thing I know is that I can remember the boy’s face, and the boy’s eyes. If it was a dream or not I will ever be able to know it.

Starry Night is the painting by Vincent Van Gogh, an Dutch artist. There are some other houses and buildings around a church. In the front of the painting are some tall, curving trees, and in the back are some rolling mountains. My eyes follow their shapes up, around, down, and back again, like a ride on a roller coaster. In the center is a church. The stars, trees, and mountains look like they are moving. I like the painting because it reminds me of the making of the universe. It is beautiful the scene of a sky full of bright stars.

I felt little bit scared when I saw the Capiliano Suspension Bridge. It seems like a dangerous bridge. It is so high. I suppose it is weird to be on it. I can’t imagine if something happened while I am walking on the bridge, for instance, an earthquake breaking the bridge. It will probably kill the people who are on it.

On the other hand, it seems challenging to on the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Fear and fun mix together in our feelings. I have never been on that bridge, but I can imagine what I would feel when I am on it. It might be a little bit scared and fun in my heart.

We were given some object from our teacher in the class. My object was a piece of wood. I think this is a little old, because it looks like it is a little rotted, and that a piece of wood was blighted. Maybe this thing had a few time, after being broken from the tree. I don't know about the tree name, because I'm not interested in some plants.

This object smells like clay; maybe this was on the ground. This is also too light. This has many this room. Now when I hit this to the desk, this object is a little crushed and some powder gets on the desk. I can't eat this, I think. It looks very good that it is old; I like vintage things. I guess some chair is old, so this was off from the tree.

Probably this object is used to many artworks. For example, small basket, desk, chair, bench, frame, sometimes this is used to a picture. I like this kind of artwork.

I imagined a house near a good view of the sea. I listened to the sea's sound and saw the trees at the beach; these trees are coconut trees. There is a striped cat in the house. I ate papayas at the beach, sitting in the chair. This place looks like Hawaii. It was comfortable and warm. At night, there were a lot of stars in the sky, so it was very beautiful. I saw this sight from the top of the house with a striped cat. The house is made of wood, but it was so cool. In the garden, there were a lot of plants. These plants were very colorful, and their smell was a little sweet, I think.

I often go to the sea in front of my house for fishing. I like fishing. This sea is very clear and beautiful blue. These are many colorful fish in there. Sometimes I go farther out into sea to get some big fishes by my boat. When I go fishing in my boat, I go there with my friends. It is fun.

I'd like to live forever!!

I watched the flowers on the street from this window. It’s like that flowers never have same one. But each flowers has only personality face from others. And our classmates have very good thinking and great personality opinion. So they have difficult good tales, like each flowers has very beautiful faces.
